Donor Relations

We are here to support you in achieving your philanthropic goals.

Bob and Kim Reynolds live on a farm in Candler where they spend time managing their herd of rescue equines, raising cattle, and enjoying their family. Both supported their communities through careers in medicine. The Reynoldses continue that same devotion to community with their giving through CFWNC. Through their donor advised fund, they have been active, generous givers and co-investors over the last ten years. Read their story and learn about more CFWNC donors. Photo by Michael Oppenheim.

“The pandemic experience highlighted how interconnected and interdependent we are. My father was an infectious disease doctor. I grew up hearing about the possibility of a pandemic like COVID-19 and the devastating effect it would have, especially on vulnerable members of society. When I saw that CFWNC was activating an emergency relief fund, I felt called to contribute to these efforts to provide immediate support and aid to affected members of the community I love.” - Fundholder Matt Lee, holding a photo of his father, Dr. Terrence Lee. Co-invest with CFWNC

Collaborative grantmaking is one way we support donors. Staff establishes relationships with charitable organizations in our region. If we see a project we think may match your interests, we want you to know about it. When a donor partners with us, or "co-invests" in a grant, we are working together to make a difference.

Learn more about CFWNC's Focus Areas.

As a co-investor, you will have the opportunity to see your philanthropy at work. Past nonprofit visits include afterschool programs, neighborhood community centers, and farmland protected by conservation easements, just to name a few. Additionally, you will be updated on the progress of the program you supported.
