The 2023 cycle of The Fund for Haywood County grant program is open for applications. The Fund for Haywood County seeks to improve the quality of life in Haywood County by supporting projects that benefit its communities and residents. Grants of up to $7,500 are available to nonprofit organizations and public agencies for charitable purposes, including programmatic needs and operating expenses.

The 2023 cycle of the Mib and Phil Medford Endowment Fund is also open for applications. Medford Fund grants are for beautification, streetscape improvements and other public amenities within the city limits of the Town of Waynesville, NC or its defined extra-territorial jurisdictions for the purpose of enhancing economic prosperity, a healthy community and the arts for public enjoyment. Grants of up to $14,330 are available and should support specific projects, initiatives or efforts rather than provide general operating support.
