Human Services and Education Grant Application Deadline

Each fall CFWNC awards grants up to $25,000 in a combined Human Services and Education grant cycle. Human Services grants support programs and projects that address the needs of people in our mountain communities who are disadvantaged economically. Education grants support early childhood development, K-12, and adult education in Western North Carolina.

Pigeon River Fund Grant Application Deadline

5:00 PM

The Pigeon River Fund seeks to improve the streams and rivers of Haywood, Buncombe and Madison counties.  Grants of $5,000 to $35,000 are available for projects and activities that provide direct benefits in at least one of the following focus areas:

Improved surface water quality

Enhanced fish and wildlife management and habitats

Expanded public access

Increased citizens' awareness about their roles in protecting these resources.

Learning Links Grant Application Deadline

The Learning Links program offers mini grants up to $1,000 for public school teachers to help them provide "hands-on" creative learning projects to their students. The goal of this program is to increase students' enthusiasm for learning and staying in school through graduation.
