Improve the lives of women and girls through women's collective giving.
How Membership Works
When you join Women for Women, you make an annual contribution of $1,200 a year. Of the total membership dues, $1,000 is allocated for grants and $200 goes to our administrative fund. Memberships can be renewed annually, and you can join anytime of the year. 100% of your gift is tax-deductible.
Those member funds, combined with spendable income from The Community Foundation Women’s Fund, are granted back out to help women and girls in 18 counties in Western North Carolina.
Mountain Housing Opportunities received $125,000 to expand its Down Payment Assistance program. Leveraged with matched funds, individual household support will range from $5,000 to $40,000. This project will support up to 100 low-income households, 60-70% of which will be women-headed households, in Buncombe, Haywood, Henderson and Madison counties.

How to Make a Gift
There are three different options for making your Women for Women membership gift:
- Use a credit card online here.
- Send a check made out to The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina and in the memo line, write “WFW Member” and your name.

Use a gift of stock or direct payment from your preferred financial institution or donor advised fund. If you're interested in using a brokerage/stock/fund account to pay for your membership, email wfw@cfwnc.org.
