Improve the lives of women and girls through women's collective giving.
How Membership Works
Membership is open to all women who want to improve the lives of women and girls in WNC. Membership is an annual, tax-deductible gift that is available at multiple giving levels to encourage broad participation and increase impact.
The $600 level includes a $500 allocation to grants and $100 to operating costs.
The $1,200 level includes a $1,000 allocation to grants and $200 to operating costs.
The $2,400 level includes a $2,000 allocation to grants and $400 to operating costs.
Each member receives the same benefits and voice. Every member has an equal opportunity to vote on grants, serve on committees, participate in member activities, and engage in leadership.
Membership funds, combined with spendable income from The Community Foundation Women’s Fund, are granted back out to help women and girls in 18 counties in Western North Carolina including the Qualla Boundary.

Women for Women is a member of Philanos, a national network that serves to catalyze the movement of women-powered philanthropy by connecting women’s collective giving grantmaking organizations.

How to Make a Gift
There are three different options for making your Women for Women membership gift:
- Use a credit card online here.
- Send a check made out to The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina and in the memo line, write “WFW Member” and your name.

Use a gift of stock or direct payment from your preferred financial institution or donor advised fund. If you're interested in using a brokerage/stock/fund account to pay for your membership, email wfw@cfwnc.org.
