"I graduated as the salutatorian from Chase High School in Forest City, NC, where I had the chance to be involved with many different clubs and activities such as; the Chase High Marching Band, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, BETA Club, KEY Club, and Student Government. I have a strong passion for serving my community. I volunteered much of my time reaching out to those who are less fortunate, working with special needs children in the county, and spending many hours with the people at Cliffside Baptist Church. I attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I have developed a love for mathematics and may potentially pursue a degree in Math Education in hopes of teaching high school math.

I am thankful to the Clyde & Mildred Wright Scholarship Fund for their investment in the success of my future. My desire is to use my gifts and talents to give back to others and to invest in the lives of people. I am excited for the opportunities that come with going to college, and I can’t wait to see where life’s journeys take me. This scholarship has allowed me to go to college to further my education and pursue my dreams."
