(February 1, 2017) The Rutherford County Endowment is pleased to announce that it will award grants in April 2017. Nonprofits and public agencies are invited to apply for grants of $2,500 to $10,000 for charitable purposes, including programs and capital needs. The application deadline is March 1, 2017.
The process is competitive, and the Endowment's Advisory Board will review applications to select those demonstrating the greatest community benefit. Please note that applications must be submitted using the online application system. CFWNC does not accept paper applications.
The Rutherford County Endowment, a CFWNC affiliate fund, was established in 1996 by a group of local residents as a permanent endowment and resource for charitable efforts that benefit Rutherford County. Since 1996, the Rutherford County Endowment, in partnership with The Community Foundation, has awarded 162 grants to 55 organizations totaling $1,164,938.
A local volunteer Advisory Board works to raise awareness of the Rutherford County Endowment and to build assets for the future. These board members are: Jane Alexander Bell, John Condrey (Chair), Lucille Dalton, Nick Elliott, Katy Hunt, Keven McCammon, Karen V. Moore, Travis Oates, Janice R. Paris, Michael S. Tanner, Judy Toney and Diane W. Warner.
