Graduating senior of Smoky Mountain High School, Sylva, NC

Mary R. Hemphill Scholarship

Graduates of Western North Carolina's Charles D. Owen High School, Madison High School, or McDowell High School, and currently attending a college or university in North Carolina or Tennessee, and engaged in a course of study leading to the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, with a strong preference for students with demonstrated interest in working with large animals.

Mike Davis Team Spirit Award

Graduating senior of Freedom High School who is a member of the Freedom High School boys or girls basketball team.

Murice C. Talley Memorial Scholarship

Graduating seniors of Avery County's Crossnore Academy, Burke County's public high schools and the North Carolina School for the Deaf at Morganton.

Nathaniel Ellis Cannady, Jr. Scholarship

Graduating public high school seniors from schools located in Buncombe, Haywood, Henderson, Madison, McDowell, Rutherford and Yancey counties intending to study engineering, construction, project management or information technology.

North Carolina Alpha Epsilon Memorial Scholarship

One graduating female senior from one of the following high schools on a rotational basis as follows: A.C. Reynolds (2023), Asheville High (2024), C.A. Erwin (2025), C.D. Owen (2026), Enka (2027), North Buncombe (2028) and T.C. Roberson (2029).

Powers Scholarship for Avery County Schools

Graduating seniors of Avery County High School, STEM School, or Blue Ridge Academy.

R. Walker Geitner III Memorial Scholarship

Graduate or graduating senior of Asheville High School who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in film, video production, visual or performing arts.

Reichman Scholarship Fund

Graduating senior of Andrews High School who plans to attend a school in the University of North Carolina system or the two-year North Carolina Community College System.

Roger W. Morrison Scholarship

Pathologist’s Medical Laboratory and Mission Hospitals Laboratories employees with eighteen months of completed service at the time of application qualify for the Scholarship. Qualified employees, spouses of employees, and children of employees may apply to the fund. At the time of application, the applicant must be a senior in a secondary school or doing equivalent work, or a secondary school graduate.

Rotary Club of Asheville Harry R. Morrill Scholarship

Open to applicants with superior academics, leadership and community service, whose primary residence is in Buncombe County, and who are seniors in public or private high schools in Buncombe County or the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM) or the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA).

Transylvania Excellence in Education / Excellence Award

Transylvania County public high school senior who has demonstrated excellence in the study of English.

Walter "Pop" Jarvis Scholarship

Graduating seniors of Avery County High School who plan to pursue full-time higher education.

William Bradley Ayers Memorial Scholarship

Graduating senior member of the Asheville High School band.

WNC Regional Scholarships

Graduating seniors from each public high school or certified home school in the 18 western counties.

Yates L. and Louise D. Holland Scholarship

Graduating seniors of Eastern Randolph High School or East Rutherford High School with a preference for students who will attend UNC-Chapel Hill.
