Scholarship Details
The Asheville Civitan Legacy Scholarship Fund was established in 2026 to provide scholarship awards to high school seniors in Asheville City and Buncombe County, NC public schools who demonstrate a commitment to volunteerism and who will attend an accredited community college, vocational/technical school, or a 4-year college or university.
Eligibility
Graduating high school seniors from public high schools in the Asheville City and Buncombe County Schools Systems who plan to attend an accredited two- or four-year college or university, including community college and vocation/technical schools.
To be eligible students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 (unweighted).
CFWNC ensures that all scholarship recipients are selected on an objective and nondiscriminatory basis and that selections are based on specific guidelines and criteria for each fund.
Selection Criteria
Students must demonstrate a record of service or volunteerism in the community or in the school.
Preference will be given to students demonstrating financial need.
How to Apply
To apply, students must complete an application online via SmarterSelect. The application, along with the two required letters of recommendation, must be submitted by the deadline.
