Unrestricted Funds

Help CFWNC meet challenges, needs and opportunities as they change over time.

Unrestricted funds provide CFWNC with flexible resources to meet needs over time. Funds recently supported at $20,000 Food and Farming grant to the Organic Growers School to expand year-round farmer outreach into Polk County and within communities of color. What is an Unrestricted Fund?

An unrestricted fund provides flexible permanent resources to support innovative responses. Fundholders entrust the Foundation to award grants to promising projects through a competitive process based on community needs as they change over time. As with all of the Foundation’s funds, distributions are made in the name of the fund or anonymously, as requested. The minimum gift to establish a named unrestricted fund is $10,000.
