(July 2025) The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina (CFWNC) is pleased to announce the following new board members who have been elected to serve a three-year term. These individuals began their terms on July 1 and are selected for a variety of strengths and experience that will help guide the direction and growth of the Foundation.
Ashley Saville-Amtower is a partner at Roberts & Stevens who focuses her practice in the areas of real estate, commercial transactions, and trusts and estates. She has experience assisting local businesses, banks and developers with all aspects of commercial transactions. She also has experience advising commercial real estate owners and has been a trusted advisor for individuals and small business owners interested in developing and implementing comprehensive estate and/or business succession plans. Ashley joined the firm in November 2017 following her family’s move from Morgantown, West Virginia to the Asheville area. She was also an adjunct lecturer with the West Virginia University Entrepreneurship and Innovation Law Clinic where she mentored and advised third-year law students providing legal services to start-up business ventures. Ashley has been involved with CFWNC as a member of the Professional Advisory Committee and Women for Women. She is also the Secretary and Board member of Blue Ridge Public Radio.
Lauren Flickinger works for Hatteras, a venture capital firm. She is dedicated to identifying, investing in, and supporting the growth of healthcare-focused companies in Western North Carolina. Prior to joining Hatteras, Lauren spent six years in investment banking with Morgan Stanley in New York, where she served as a Vice President advising clients on mergers and acquisitions as well as public and private capital markets transactions. Lauren previously managed the Eastern Europe and Central Asia practice of DHInfrastructure, an economic and finance consulting firm specializing in advising the World Bank and other international financial institutions on infrastructure development. Lauren holds a bachelor's degree from Smith College and an MBA from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Lauren joined CFWNC’s Investment Committee in July 2023. She is a native of Western North Carolina and lives in Asheville with her husband, daughter and son.
Jochen Lucke, Founder, CEO and Broker, Silver Creek Real Estate Group, has spent over two decades building his reputation as a skilled realtor, broker, general contractor, and developer—first in Southeast Florida and now on the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau. His love of the mountains, paired with his love of family and community, brought Jochen to Western North Carolina. Since making the move, he has become deeply involved in the community. He is past chairman of both the Highlands-Cashiers Hospital Foundation and The Village Green boards and has served on the boards of the Highlands-Cashiers Hospital, the Fidelia Eckerd Living Center, the Cashiers Community Fund, and the Highlands Performing Arts Center (PAC). Jochen truly enjoys real estate and development and finds great rewards in the accomplishment of finding the perfect home for his clients.
