Fall 2023 - Grants totaling $88,770

The Bascom - $2,500 for scholarships, instructors and supplies for Highlands arts programs.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Western North Carolina - $3,000 to support recruiting, programming and staff costs.

Boys & Girls Club of the Plateau - $8,500 for academic programming for youth in grades K-12 at a new location in Highlands.

Child Medical Collaborative - $8,500 to provide services for child victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse.

Community Care Clinic of Highlands-Cashiers - $8,500 to purchase prescription medications.

Four Seasons - $4,000 to address unfunded care needs of people living with life-limiting or terminal illnesses in Macon County.

Gordon Center for Children - $8,500 to continue a free afterschool program for elementary school students in the Highlands community.

Highlands Community Child Development Center - $4,000 for technology equipment.

Highlands Emergency Council - $8,500 to augment its fuel fund.

Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust - $1,770 to support its education programs.

International Friendship Center - $8,500 for its Highlands food pantry program.

The Literacy & Learning Center - $8,500 to expand and enhance its afterschool programs.

ML Performing Arts Center - $2,500 for the educational theatre program during the 2023-2024 school year.

Pisgah Legal Services - $8,500 to support free civil legal assistance to, and advocacy for, low-income people who live and work in and around Highlands.

REACH of Macon County - $3,000 for outreach efforts during Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Human Trafficking awareness months.
