Spring 2024 - Grants totaling $30,930

$3,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Western North Carolina for a youth mentoring program that serves children from disadvantaged families.

$4,000 to Center for Rural Health Innovation to provide access to medical services through telehealth at a community clinic.

$2,986 to Children's Cancer Partners of the Carolinas to provide access to medical care for children who have cancer.

$1,000 to Mitchell County Animal Rescue to provide food for pets of families with low incomes.

$5,000 to Mitchell County Shepherd's Staff to purchase a refrigerator and freezer for its food pantry and to repair its parking lot.

$2,500 to Mitchell Giving Gardens for a fresh food program that serves people with low incomes.

$2,500 to Mitchell-Yancey Habitat for Humanity for a volunteer coordinator who will support volunteer efforts to help families with low incomes become homeowners.

$3,444 to Partners Aligned Toward Health for a youth mental health and substance use prevention program.

$4,000 to Pisgah Legal Services for free civil legal assistance and advocacy for domestic violence survivors.

$2,500 to WAMY Community Action to provide critical home repair for people with low incomes.
