Adults Working and Advocating for Kids Empowerment (AWAKE) - $5,000 toward strategic planning.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Western North Carolina - $6,000 to support recruiting, programming and staffing costs.

Blue Ridge Mountains Health Project - $10,000 to support dental assistant positions.

Blue Ridge School - $8,306 to update the appliances required for instructional purposes in the exceptional students classroom.

Boys & Girls Club of the Plateau - $10,000 to serve its increased membership while expanding quality academic programming.

Cashiers Valley Preschool - $12,500 toward renovations to reduce heating and cooling costs and upgrade lighting.

Center for Domestic Peace - $7,500 to support its Intervention Services, including staff and items needed by clients.

Community Care Clinic of Highlands-Cashiers - $11,000 for general operating support.

Counseling and Psychotherapy Center of Highlands - $9,932 for general operating support.

Fishes and Loaves Food Pantry - $7,500 to purchase food for distribution to people with incomes falling below the Federal poverty line, helping to alleviate hunger.

Friends of Panthertown - $5,000 to support conservation and stewardship of Panthertown Valley.

Hampton School - $12,500 to provide high-quality childcare for children ages 12 months to 12 years.

Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust - $5,000 to support the "Kids in Nature" and "Community in Nature" education programs.

International Friendship Center - $10,000 toward food and childcare services that supplement its English Language Learners program.

Pisgah Legal Services - $10,000 to support free civil legal assistance and advocacy to low-income people who live and work in and around Cashiers.

Summit Charter School - $9,932 to support its Music & Arts programs.

The Village Green - $12,000 toward the improvement and structural engineering plans needed to restore the community playground.

Vecinos Farmworker Health Program - $10,000 for general operating support.
