Community Foundation of Western North Carolina

Organizational Development Grants

The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina is pleased to offer Organizational Development Grants of up to $7,500 for nonprofits that seek to improve organizational capacity and management capabilities in order to better serve the community.

Please note that in response to the recession and available funding, program priorities and modifications have been made to the Organizational Development Program. Please review the new guidelines carefully.

This program is an effort to strengthen the nonprofit sector in Western North Carolina . The expectation is that grantees will become more effective and efficient in serving clients, program participants and, ultimately, the community.

Current funding partners include The Cherokee Preservation Foundation and the Kate B. Reynolds Foundation. More than 100 organizations have received grant assistance since the program began in 2002.

This program is offered through WNC Partners for Nonprofit Success, a collaborative effort among several of the region's funders, including The Community Foundation.
