The Community Foundation has long been committed to strengthening and building the capacity and financial sustainability of the nonprofits in the 18 counties we serve. The Community Foundation partnered with the Cherokee Preservation Foundation, Mission Healthcare Foundation, The United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County and the University of North Carolina at Asheville to offer enhanced training and services that lead to best practices for nonprofits.

The collaborative, called WNC Nonprofit Pathways, also hosts the Duke Certificate Program in Nonprofit Management. Our goal is an even more vibrant and healthy nonprofit sector to serve our mountain counties.
