Recession Response

CFWNC has been working to craft a coordinated response to the recession that continues to affect our region and the country. From restructuring grant programs and offering contingency planning to convening regional funders and launching a fundraising campaign, the Foundation is committed to responding to the recession and to helping WNC nonprofits and citizens.

Emergency Assistance and Operating Grants will support emergency relief and operating funds for human service and economic development organizations addressing basic needs services including food, shelter/housing, heating and utility assistance, medical/mental health and employment issues exacerbated by the recession. The last deadline to apply was September 9, 2009.
